







The Pasir Salak historical complex was built displaying outlining the events surrounding J.W.W.Birch death, the first Resident in British Malaya, was murdered on the 2nd November 1875 in Pasir Salak, on the banks of the Perak River, by Datok Maharajalela.
Within the complex, a memorial in the form of a large metal kris was also build commemorating Maharajalela and his associates in the plot, though many were executed, the Sultan, 1874-1876, however was exiled to Seychelles.
